A Note From the Dean
Every year, Moody College has around 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students seeking to obtain a world-class education and one-of-a-kind opportunities in Austin and beyond. They are met by faculty at the top of their fields, advisors to guide them on their college journeys and friends that will last a lifetime. We are a large college in a large University that still somehow remains a tight-knit community with one-on-one attention and support. Our students consistently share that one of the most rewarding parts of their college experience were the connections they made in the classroom, in programs, in internships and in Austin. The mission of the Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin is to advance and enhance society through the study and practice of human communication. The Moody Gift
In 2013, the Moody Foundation of Galveston announced a $50 million commitment to establish the Moody College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin, resulting in the largest endowment for the study of communication of any public university in the nation. The gift, among the largest ever awarded by the Moody Foundation, supports projects across the Moody College and is aimed to help position it as the nation's leading institution for research and teaching in new and convergent media.
